Mechanics And Control
We're all familiar with bending. Let's take a look at the basic mechanics of bending and how we can improve our control by making some minor adjustments to our technique, and using some simple exercises!
Exercise 1: E minor Pentatonic. Bend B string 15th fret up a whole step, be sure to use middle and pointer fingers to help support your ring finger on this bend. Allowing your thumb to sneak over the edge of the fretboard will also help with your overall control of the bend.
Pro tip: take the idea of "support fingers" if you're bending with your pinky; use ring and middle fingers to help support the pinky when bending!
